How the Institute equips leaders

Biblical Literacy

The Institute seeks to equip people to understand the Bible and interpret it responsibly by focusing on issues of translation and hermeneutics — helping believers move from reading Scripture to discerning how Scripture shapes faithful leadership, public witness, and daily life.

Spiritual & Theological Formation

The Institute helps people learn and understand the core doctrines — the main teachings of the Christian faith — in a way that is thoughtful, accessible, and welcoming, whether you are new to Christianity or wanting to grow in your faith.

Public Witness

The Institute aims to offer practical models that help leaders, volunteers, churches, and other groups take part in projects that support vulnerable and marginalized people — including programs that use new technologies, like artificial intelligence, in ways that respect human dignity and promote justice and mercy.

Intergenerational Collaboration

The Institute shares Bible-based ideas and models to help communities of all ages work together — supporting young leaders, valuing the wisdom of experienced leaders, and welcoming everyone to join in social justice work.

How we deliver it

Four tools

“Faith that Thinks, Spirit that Moves” is a call to action. Thus, the Pentecost for Life Foundation uses four tools to equip leaders and followers of Jesus Christ to make a positive difference in the world. These programs are the following:

Leadership Labs

These items are three-hour workshops and classes. Some of these sessions are available online. These sessions focus on Biblical literacy, core Christian doctrines, public witness, and cross generational leadership. During these classes, you will have time for learning, reflection, practical application, and connecting with others.

Digital and Print Ministry

Pentecost for Life Institute provides ministers and laypeople with formation materials, reflection tools, educational materials, and theological resources. These help us to learn, remember important lessons, and apply instruction and information in the village.

Podcast

The Spirit & the Village is a weekly 30-minute podcast that explores how the Holy Spirit can help us to navigate life, culture, and community. In each episode, we talk about topics such as biblical literacy, Christian doctrine, public witness, and connecting different generations. We want to help you serve your neighborhood, campus, church, and the world with wisdom, courage, and compassion.

Micro-Learning Capsules

Pentecost for Life Institute offers courses to support your spiritual and professional growth in Biblical literacy, core Christian doctrines, public witness, and cross generational leadership. These classes range from six to eight weeks and are online. You can also register for classes and training sessions on this page.
